CoraroC sells corals that have been adapted to aquarium conditions over a long period. The colors and shapes you see in our coral library are fully achievable for hobbyists.
Recently imported corals—whether “wild-caught” or “maricultured”—require a relatively long acclimation period to adjust to the aquarium environment. During this time, they may change in both color and shape before they truly “take off” in your tank.
Your choices in water parameters, lighting, and other equipment will influence a coral’s color and shape. When you purchase a coral from us, you can be confident that it is healthy, thriving, and displays colors that are realistic to achieve in an aquarium.
Our experience also shows that corals kept in aquariums for a long time are more resilient to tissue loss (commonly referred to as RTN or STN).
